Hi, I'm Alessandro

Ciao! I'm a licensed wedding officiant registered with the NYC City Clerk, based in Brooklyn, and I perform ceremonies in English, Italian or both. I sign marriage licenses as part of my work. I grew up on Lake Como and moved to Brooklyn in 2008. My own family speaks Italian, so I know what it means when a grandmother finally understands the vows. I've been officiating since 2017.

Actor, comedian, officiant

Before I officiated, I worked as an actor. Today I perform in comedy shows around New York City. Both taught me the same thing: a room tells you what it needs, and your job is to listen.

A ceremony runs on the same timing as a good show. There is room for a laugh, then room for quiet. That is why my ceremonies move between light and deep. Your guests laugh at the story of how you met, and a minute later they are reaching for a tissue.

I'm at ease in front of two people or a hundred and twenty, and I help you stay relaxed when it's your turn to speak. If you want a funny ceremony, I'll write one. If you want it mostly serious, the humor stays light and the words carry the weight. You decide.

What working with me looks like

You tell me your story, I write, you review, and I show up early on the day and keep things calm. If something runs late or the weather turns, I deal with it so you don't have to.
