Ceremonies that sound like you

Most couples don't want a script they've heard at ten other weddings. I ask how you met, what you argue about and what your families are like, then I write the ceremony around that. You get something you'll want to hear, in the language that fits the people in the room.

Eloping in New York

A lot of my couples are two people, a witness and a great view. I'll help you pick a spot, tell you what the City Clerk needs, and fill out and sign your marriage license after the ceremony. Returning it to the City Clerk is up to you two. Most elopements take under an hour from start to finish.

English, Italian, or both

If half your family speaks Italian and half doesn't, I can run the ceremony in both so nobody has to guess what's happening. I'm fluent in both.

For wedding planning, photographers, help with the marriage license and registering your marriage in Italy, I work with a trusted partner agency for Italian couples. I stay on the ceremony.

Questions couples ask me

Do I need a marriage license in NYC, and how do we get one?

Yes. You need a marriage license before the ceremony, and it comes from the NYC City Clerk. The process starts on the City Clerk's own page, so begin there: NYC marriage license information. The City Clerk's page has the current steps, fees and what to bring. If anything confuses you, send it to me.

Can the ceremony be in Italian, or half and half?

Yes. I run ceremonies in English, Italian or both, and in the bilingual ones I go back and forth so nobody sits there lost. Italian and bilingual are available with Elopement with Personal Vows, Custom Wedding Ceremony and Premium Wedding Ceremony.

Can you marry us in a park, on a rooftop, at our home?

Yes to all of those, with some rules attached. Public parks can have permit rules, and rooftops and private venues need the owner's okay. Tell me where you're thinking of and I'll tell you what applies.

What if it rains?

The ceremony goes ahead rain or shine. If you want an indoor backup, the Green Boutique chapel in Brooklyn is available for an additional fee.
